Hi, I’m Sarah, a Master of Counselling student completing my internship at Island Community Counselling. I feel honoured to walk alongside folks as they navigate life’s challenges, and my hope is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and cared for.
My gentle and collaborative approach is guided by curiosity. I use an integrative, person-centred approach, drawing on family systems and attachment perspectives, narrative therapy, solution-focused practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma-informed care. I help clients explore their unique strengths, values, and stories to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change.
With over ten years of experience supporting children and families, including those with neurodiversity, I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have a personal understanding of navigating identity and finding a sense of belonging. I enjoy supporting people through life transitions, relationships, stress, anxiety, exploring identity, and more.
Outside of counselling, I love spending time in nature, staying active, and connecting with the people who matter most to me.
I look forward to meeting you and working together in ways that feel supportive and meaningful for your journey.
